This page explains what information ShowTracker collects from visitors, how that information is used, and the choices visitors have. It is intentionally short — we collect very little and we do not sell visitor data to anyone.
What we collect
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs that include the time of each request, the requested URL, the visitor's IP address, the referrer, and the visitor's browser user-agent string. We use these logs to monitor performance and identify abuse. Server logs are retained for thirty days and then deleted.
Cookies
ShowTracker itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Display advertising on the site is delivered by third-party ad networks, which may set their own cookies for ad personalization, frequency capping, and measurement. Visitors can opt out of ad personalization through the controls offered by their browser or by their operating system.
Advertising
Ad slot positions on each page are clearly indicated in the template markup as HTML comments (e.g. <!-- ADSENSE_IN_CONTENT -->). Ad networks may collect non-identifying signals about ad delivery on this site to support their measurement and billing. We do not share any visitor information with ad networks beyond what is automatically transmitted by the visitor's browser.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information. We do not maintain visitor profiles. We do not run analytics packages that build cross-site behavioral profiles. We do not require an account to browse the directory; in fact, we do not offer accounts at all.
Children
ShowTracker is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Updates
We will update this page if our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
